Get your passport ready to embark on a festive adventure around the globe! Join us as we explore winter holiday traditions from different cultures through books, crafts, and food. Collect passport stamps at each activity as you travel from country to country learning about holiday celebrations.

Winter Holidays Passport Office: Pick up your passport at Yarmouth Town Libraries' Winter Holidays Passport Office, located in the Children’s Room at South Yarmouth Library. The office is open from Sunday, December 1, through Saturday, December 7.

Weekly activities are available in the children’s room at South Yarmouth  Library. Stop by each week for new experiences and collect stamps for your passport!

Gingerbread Person Challenge (England)
South Yarmouth Library: December 1–7, all day
Design a clever disguise for a gingerbread figure to outwit cookie hunters! Supplies are provided. Take your gingerbread person home or enter it in our contest on December 14 for a chance to win a Cape Cod Creamery gift card!

Scandinavian Gnomes (Sweden)
South Yarmouth Library: December 8–14, all day 
Craft a Scandinavian gnome to bring home! Discover the folklore behind these household protectors and create a unique holiday decoration.

Celebrate Yalda (Iran)
South Yarmouth Library: December 15–21, all day
Celebrate Yalda Night, the longest night of the year, with activities like making dried fruit bundles and creating Yalda greeting cards.

Merry Grinchmas
South Yarmouth Library: Thursday, December 19, 5:30 p.m. 
Join us for a cozy reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, complete with crafts, hot chocolate, and cookies!

Ornaments of the World
South Yarmouth Library: December 22–28, all day
Create ornaments inspired by holiday traditions around the world. Add a global touch to your holiday decor!

Hanukkah Dreidels (Israel)
South Yarmouth Library: December 29 – January 4, all day
Decorate a dreidel and learn about this classic Hanukkah game. Supplies are provided for a memorable holiday keepsake.
